RECIPES
Frappuccino Mocha
3 or 4 cups of ice depending on consistency liked
2 shots of cappuccino (shot glass)
3 1/2 shots of Hersheys chocolate syrup
1/2 cup of 2% whole milk
Blend together until ice is liquefied.
Iced Cappuccino
Fill a glass with ice
2 oz. espresso
6 oz. steamed milk
whipped cream, optional
Fill the glass with ice, add steamed milk and pour espresso gently down the side of the glass. Top with whipped cream if desired.
Rum Coffee Soda
With the taste of rum, you can pretend you're in the Caribbean.
1 cup coffee
1/4 cup half-and-half
1/4 teaspoon rum extract
Ice cubes
1/2 cup carbonated water
Sugar, to taste
Mix the coffee, half-and-half, and rum together and pour over ice in two tall glasses. Add
carbonated water and sugar to taste.
Iced Coffee Delight
4 to 5 cups prepared cold coffee
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons sugar
Pour the cold coffee into an ice cube tray, and freeze until firm. Stir vanilla extract and sugar into remaining coffee. Fill two tall glasses with mixture of coffee cubes and cold coffee. Place a long teaspoon in each glass to prevent it from cracking if adding hot coffee. For an extra treat add whipped cream and serve with a cinnamon stick or ground cinnamon.
Coffee Alexander
1/2 ounce Kahlua
1/2 ounce Amaretto
6 ounces chilled coffee
2 scoops chocolate ice cream
Put ingredients in blender, and mix well until smooth. Top with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
Yogurcino
1 8 oz. container of vanilla yogurt
1 teaspoon instant coffee granules
1/2 cup of milk
whipped cream
Pour the yogurt, coffee, and milk into a screw-top jar or blender. Mix until well combined. Pour into a glass and top with whipped cream.
PASTA
Share a plate of spaghetti or pasta. Eat slow and get sloppy.
Pine Nut Pasta
1/2 package of linguini (or other pasta) 1/4 cup pine nuts
2 tablespoons of olive oil 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese grated
2 garlic cloves salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup Italian Bread Crumbs
1. Boil salted water. Add pasta and cook until it is firm, yet tender.
2. Heat olive oil in a large saute pan over medium heat.
3. Add garlic and saute for about 30 seconds.
4. Add bread crumbs and pine nuts. Saute until light brown.
5. Drain pasta and mix together. Add the cheese, salt and pepper.
Honeymoon Sourdough Rolls
1 cup sourdough starter mix
1 1/4 cups biscuit baking mix
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1. Mix together sourdough starter mix, biscuit baking mix, baking powder, and oil. Turn out onto a floured board and knead lightly. Roll out to about 1/2-inch thick and cut into biscuits. Brush lightly with melted butter.
2. Place on a greased baking sheet and bake at 450°F. for about 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
Makes 8.
Strawberry Pasta
1 pint fresh strawberries 2 tablespoons butter
1/2 pound spaghetti 1/4 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese mint sprigs for garnish
1. Puree the strawberries in a blender and strain to remove the seeds.
2. Cook the spaghetti using the package directions; drain and toss with the cheese.
3. Heat the butter and cream in a small saucepan.
4. Move the pasta to a serving bowl and cover with strawberries, then the butter and sauce. Toss well.
5. Serve with additional cheese and garnish with mint.
Red Pepper Canapés
1/4 cup of roasted red peppers
1 tablespoon capers
crackers or melba toast
whipped cream cheese
1. Dice the red peppers and mix with the capers.
2. Spread the cream cheese on the cracker or melba toast.
3. Top the cracker/melba toast with the red pepper mixture.
Cheese and Fruit Platter
1 pint fresh strawberries 1/4 fresh pineapple cut up into cubes
1/2 lb of grapes 3 different cheeses (Monterey, cheddar, gouda)
2 oranges different types of crackers
1. Wash and cut up fruit into bite size pieces.
2. Cut cheese into slices that will cover the crackers.
3. Arrange the crackers, cheese, and fruit attractively on a large platter and garnish with parsley or mint.
Tango Recipes
Nacho Platter
1 bag of Tortilla chips
shredded Monterey and cheddar cheese
1 cup salsa
jalapenos (if you dare)
1. Cover the bottom of a casserole dish with tortilla chips.
2. Sprinkle with cheese.
3. Add ¼ of the salsa.
4. Continue to layer ingredients until the bag of tortilla chips are empty.
5. Bake at 350 ° F until the cheese is melted and the chips start to brown. Sprinkle with jalapenos.
Avocados
1 or 2 ripe avocados
lemon juice
salt
1. Cut the avocado lengthwise.
2. Pluck out the seed.
3. Squeeze lemon juice over the tops and sprinkle with salt.
4. Use a spoon to dish out the avocado, using the rind as a bowl.
5. Continue to squeeze lemon juice and sprinkle salt as your taste requires.

1. Mix nuts, raisins, dried fruits and seeds together.
2. Serve in wooden bowls.
Vegetables and Fruit

1. Wash vegetables and fruit.
2. Do NOT cut.
3. Mix vegetables and fruit in a large bowl and serve.
Caribana/Mardi Gras
Bananas or Pears with Ice cream
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/8 teaspoon of cinnamon
2 Pears or bananas (fresh or canned)
1 pint vanilla ice cream
¼ cup of dark rum (optional)
1. Cut pears in quarters or bananas in half lengthwise.
2. In a skillet or microwave, melt the butter.
3. Add the brown sugar, cinnamon, pears/bananas.
4. Cook or saute until the fruit is slightly soft.
5. Pour the rum into the bowl/pan, heat for 1 minute and then ignite with a match and wait for the flame to go out.
6. Place fruit into a serving dish, top with vanilla ice cream and sauce from the pan.
Rum Runner
1 cup orange juice 1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 cup pineapple juice 1 tablespoon grenadine
1 cup ginger ale ½ cup dark rum
1. Combine orange juice, pineapple juice, ginger ale, lemon juice grenadine and rum into a small pitcher.
2. Serve over ice and garnish with a lemon, orange, or pineapple slice.
3. Garnish with fruit slices.
Love Cookie Recipe
Also known as Fortune Cookies, but there's no fortune in these, just pure love.
Love Cookies
1 cup all purpose flour 2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/2 cup sugar pinch salt
1/4 cup vegetable oil 3 egg whites
3 tablespoons water 1/2 teaspoon vanilla or 2-3 drops almond extract
butter or nonstick spray for cookie sheet
Getting ready...
Print or type phrases/sentences of love on a sheet of paper and cut into 3/4 inch strips. Use ink that won't bleed if the paper gets wet or oily. redhotwear.com store sells premade strips for you to use in this recipe.
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Lights butter or spray cookie sheet. Have a muffin tin or ice cube tray ready.
1. Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl.
2. Add liquid ingredients and stir until the batter is smooth.
3. Drop batter by level teaspoon onto prepared cookie sheet. Spread each evenly to 4-inch diameter.
4. Set cookie sheet in the oven; bake for 15-20 minutes or until the cookies begin to brown lightly.
5. Remove from the oven and immediately remove 1 cookie with a broad spatula.
6. Place a love letter in the center, fold in half and press against ledge of muffin tin or ice cube tray to form a fortune cookie shape.
7. Set cookies in the muffin tin or ice cube tray to keep their shape until cool.
8. Continue with the rest of the cookies, remembering they harden fast. If the cookies become too brittle to fold, return to the oven for 2-3 minutes and try again.
9. Repeat the process with the remaining batter.
